Coloured Pencils And Other Art Media

About Ursula

Peruvian by birth, British by marriage, I lived in the UK for 14 years working as a Bilingual Secretary/PA before moving to Spain in 2006 with my husband, Pete.

I am self-taught, but it was in Spain that my childhood passion for art returned.

I paint people and animal portraits, but I also enjoy commissions on a variety of subjects. I favour  Coloured Pencils,. but I'm experienced in most media, especially Gouache and Acrylics. I also paint wall murals and Trompe l'oeil. I've exhibited in the Axarquía region of Andalucia and the Costa del Sol since 2007 as a solo artist, with other local artists and groups and at charity events.

I am a former Signature Member of the UKCPS (UK Coloured Pencil Society), winning two awards in 2009.

In 2013, I won the First Prize in an art competition organised by a local business at the Palacio de Congresos in Torremolinos, Málaga, with my picture 'Paisanita'.

I work in conjunction with property rental owners offering tailor-made Painting Workshops for holiday guests. See the Links Page for detail of the properties or contact me directly for detail of the Workshops.
